FAQ
How do I log in and start the call?
There is no login or password. Once you have downloaded the app, you will be given a unique 7 digit pin to enter and join the call. That is all that is needed.
Will I have to email pictures after the call?
Typically, the answer is “No.” In most cases, the photos are automatically uploaded to the report as our team takes them during the home tour. There are rare instances where a photo may come out blurry, fail to upload properly, or experience a technical issue. If this happens, we may request a quick follow-up call to capture those missing photos or ask that they be emailed to us.
I got disconnected from the video call. What do I do?
This can happen, its usually a result of a dropped cell signal or wifi signal. Should that happen, check your phone for a text message from your inspector setting up a new connection call with a new pin.
By doing a live video inspection does this mean the property manager or landlord will never have to come to my home?
No, conducting an inspection does not completely eliminate the need for a property manager or landlord to visit the property. In fact, they may still need to come out for repairs or issues identified during our live video inspection. While our service significantly reduces the need for in-person visits, it doesn’t completely eliminate it.
I did a live video inspection, why does my property manager still want to come to my home?
There are several reasons a property manager or landlord may schedule an in-person inspection following a video inspection. Typically, this is due to issues identified during the inspection, such as a roof leak, water leak, maintenance concern, owner’s request, the need for additional photos, or other similar reasons. While it’s not common, an in-person visit may still be necessary on occasion.
I signed a lease addendum saying that I consent to participate in a live video inspection, what if I changed my mind or I can not participate?
Many property managers and landlords include an addendum in the lease agreement that requires tenants to participate in the inspection. Often, the addendum will specify that if a tenant is unable or unwilling to participate, an administrative fee will be charged to cover the cost of an in-person inspection. It’s important to review your specific lease, as policies may vary.
Why do you need to do a live video? Why not just send someone to my house?
Traveling to and from properties can be time-consuming and costly for many. Our services can greatly reduce both the time and expenses associated with inspections, all while maintaining high-quality standards. Residents also value the convenience of not having anyone physically enter their home, as well as the option for after-hours appointments.
